Our modern, updated dental practice in Mill Valley has separate treatment rooms that are private, digitally-networked and equipped with the latest digital radiography. Their floor-to-ceiling windows look out onto a serene garden setting with lots of natural light, allowing for a calming and healing environment for the patient.

Our team of dedicated dental professionals is committed to patient comfort and quality of care. We have a multi-lingual staff with members of the team coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, bringing a wealth of experience with them.

Dr Frederick Tan, DDS

Dr. Tan received his dental education and degree from the National University of Singapore. He later went for postgraduate training in Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL), where he obtained a Master's degree in Implant Dentistry. Dr Tan has been enjoying practising dentistry in the Bay Area since obtaining his California dental license in 2000.

Having worked extensively in diverse clinical and cultural environments, Dr. Tan is comfortable caring for patients of all ages with a range of oral health issues. He has always enjoyed the combination of art and science that dentistry offers. Besides being experienced in surgical and restorative implant dentistry, he is also a certified Invisalign provider.

Above all, Dr. Tan is passionate about helping people feel good about themselves and is committed to each patient’s long term care. He emphasizes being patient and taking time to listen in order to more fully understand each patient's needs and concerns. Over the years, he has learnt from patient experiences and strives to improve with every patient visit.

Dr Nghia Nguyen, DMD

Dr. Nguyen obtained his DMD from the Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health. There, he mastered the importance of whole body health. He understands that getting dental work can be overwhelming and so he tries to treat each patient with compassion to fulfill their needs. His top priority is to provide ethical patient care, with a focus on prevention and long-term oral health.

When you visit with Dr. Nguyen, you'll appreciate his attention to detail, his calming positive demeanor, and above all, his commitment to your health and wellness.

Katie Practice Co-ordinator

Katie takes pride in helping our patients with any questions they may have regarding their treatment plan, insurance or financial needs. She loves seeing a happy patient check out upon completion of their treatment, knowing that she has helped contribute to their well-being. Her friendly and patient personality will make your visit to our practice a real pleasure.

Lupita Patient Co-ordinator

Lupita is a Spanish-speaking member of our staff. Patents will feel at ease with her warm and cheerful personality. She is passionate about getting to know all of our patients and ensuring that they receive efficient service and attention.

May Registered Dental Hygienist

May has been working as a hygienist for over 20 years. Patients appreciate her positive attitude and her patience in explaining and discussing their dental problems. She is encouraging, preferring not to lecture her patients but rather addresses each patient based on his or her unique dental needs. She looks forward to providing you with the highest standard of care.

Alma Registered Dental Hygienist

Alma began her career in dentistry 15 years ago as a dental assistant when she first started working with Dr. Tan. She later went to dental hygiene school where she excelled, helping her earn a place at UCSF Dental School where she graduated with a Masters degree in Dental Hygiene Science. Alma enjoys interacting with patients and discussing their oral health care needs, focusing on individualized personal oral hygiene care. Her enthusiastic and vivacious personality and passion for her work are a great asset to our practice and patients.
